    Position Summary


    The Vice President – Investor Relations and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will report to the Chief Financial Officer and work closely with the CEO in our Dallas executive office and the senior leadership team. This position will be responsible for FP&A and Investor Relations.


    The VP – Investor Relations and FP&A is a critical leadership role which manages the strategic planning, ongoing development and coordination of all investor relations activities to enhance Progress Residential’s impact among our stakeholders, including the investment community. The VP is responsible for the financial reporting and planning for the organization as well as for investor relations.


    This role must develop a deep understanding of the key performance drivers across the markets as well as Corporate and deliver insightful, value-added analysis to the CEO and leadership team. This is a highly visible position that plays a key role in setting company-wide targets, measuring performance KPIs, and communicating with investors and attracting potential new investors. This role will provide a unique opportunity to be involved with every aspect of the business and provide routine access to executive and leadership management.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the financial planning and budgeting function for the company
    • Act as primary contact with investors and private equity sponsor
    • Prepare investor communication documents and presentations
    • Supervise the FP&A team
    • Coordinate with GP/Sponsor to leverage planning and projection tools
    • Analyze internal management reports to assess performance
    • Analyze data trends to identify opportunities for improvement or key areas of concern
    • Evaluate performance metrics against budget and acquisition pro-forma

    Immediate Projects

    • Build and staff FP&A function in Dallas
    • Work with reporting teams to enhance reporting for separately managed accounts
    • Coordinate with GP/Sponsor for streamlining the use of existing budgeting and planning tools


    Pivotal Experience & Expertise

    • 10 or more years’ experience managing FP&A, investor relations and/or asset management functions
    • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
    • Excellent business acumen and strong analytical skills
    • Resourceful and able to take ownership of projects and relationships
    • Willing and able to work in a fast-paced atmosphere with a wide range of responsibilities and deal with constantly evolving deadlines, requirements and challenges
    • Residential real estate experience preferred
